Fracture Follow-Up Clinic
When a patient with a fracture or injury arrives at a Terem center, follow-up treatment with an orthopedic specialist is required within a few days. Finding an orthopedic specialist on such short notice can be challenging, and everyone wants to be seen by a professional and friendly orthopedic doctor. To address this need, we have established Fracture Follow-Up Clinics at several Terem centers, providing most patients with an appointment within two to three days.
At the follow-up clinic, the specialist can decide whether to remove a cast, switch a temporary splint to a full cast, order an on-site follow-up X-ray, or refer the patient for further evaluation, such as a CT scan. In exceptional cases requiring advanced intervention, the specialist will refer the patient to the appropriate facility. The orthopedists at these clinics are carefully selected and choose to work at Terem due to its groundbreaking medical approach.
Our team includes top specialists like Dr. Amit Davidson, Head of the Rehabilitation Department at Tel Hashomer Hospital, and an expert in orthopedic trauma. The clinic is suitable for patients who visited a Terem center and for those who received initial treatment in an emergency room and elsewhere and need orthopedic follow-up in the first weeks after an injury.
Who Can Visit?
Patients who received initial treatment at Terem for any type of injury can return for orthopedic follow-up. Additionally, patients seeking orthopedic consultation and follow-up after casting or orthopedic injuries can visit with a referral from a doctor. Referrals from Kupot Cholim are accepted, subject to arrangements with different centers and Kupot Cholim.
